Allison Gillies has 8.5 years faculty experience, and she teaches all levels of Drawing, Life Drawing, Artistic Anatomy, Painting, Color Theory and Design courses. In addition, teaching community workshops.

Allison obtained a B.F.A. (summa cum laude) in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Florida, and her M.F.A. (magna cum laude) in Painting with an intermedia minor in Bookmaking, Papermaking and Printmaking from Texas Woman’s University.

Gillies’ work reflects upon her fascination with life’s transience by juxtaposing skeletons, anatomy and the human body in a variety of painted narratives. Utilizing a broad range of media and figurative styles; from realistic depictions of skeletons and anatomy - to abstracted floating figures representative of a spiritual realm.

Allison strives to share knowledge and make connections; to be a catalyst, and make a positive difference in people’s lives.
